The iRig Pre 2 is a compact mic preamp allowing seamless use of XLR mics for recording, live performances, and streaming on various devices.

This successor to the best-selling mic pre maintains professional sound quality, adds direct monitoring, automatic camera wiring switching, and a 3.5mm headphone output for real-time signal checks.

Suitable for diverse uses like podcasting or filming, it simplifies XLR mic connections to iPads or Android devices. To connect to an iPhone, an Apple Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter (TRRS) is required (not included).

Powered by 2 AA batteries, it delivers authentic +48V phantom power for around 7 hours, extendable to 20 hours by disabling phantom power when using certain mic types. Please note: The necessary iPhone adapter is not included.

High-Fidelity Sound and Phantom Power

iRig Pre 2 boasts authentic +48V phantom power, surpassing other mobile mic preamps that typically offer only 32V. This ensures professional-grade sound quality for around 7 hours of continuous use.

Efficient Battery Operation

Powered by just 2 standard AA batteries, the iRig Pre 2 offers economic power consumption. By turning off phantom power, it extends usage for up to 20 hours, accommodating your favorite dynamic or ribbon microphones without compromising performance.
