The PG2-R is a professional-grade pistol grip designed for using shotgun microphones and other compatible microphones in handheld applications. It features dual Rycote® Lyre® mounts to ensure maximum isolation from handling vibrations, four possible mounting points to suit the complete range of compatible RØDE shotgun microphones, and an integrated cable management clip.

The PG2-R is lightweight and extremely comfortable. The grip houses multiple cable mounting points, with a dedicated space for the PG2-R Pro Cable to terminate flush with the base for easy connection to an XLR cable. It also features a heavy-duty locking nut for adjusting the angle of the microphone and a 3/8-inch thread on the base for attaching the grip to boompoles and microphone stands.
